Local Workshops

In addition to our own workshops and webinars, we know that community is best built face to face. To continue to expand the Scalar community, we are looking for enthusiastic users who are hosting Scalar workshops in their home towns. If you want to host a Scalar workshop, contact us so we can help you promote it to other Scalar users. If you’ve recently hosted a workshop and are willing to act as a local Scalar advocate, we can also put you in touch with your local Scalar user community.

Scalar is an open source project built on a community of users, scholars, developers and digital humanists. We want to continue to grow that community. To do that, we’ve set up a forum to connect Scalar users so that they can share their knowledge. From ideas about using media to Javascript/CSS code snippets, the Scalar forum is the place to be part of the community. Help us make digital scholarship more accessible to a wide range of scholars, artists and makers by taking part in the forum to answer questions from users who need help, or by sharing your latest creation.
